Capital K9s receives no tax dollar support, the dogs are fully sponsored by outstanding citizens and businesses in the area. This support is via direct donations, veterinary care, and food support. It is Capital K9s mission to ensure no handler has to contribute to out-of-pocket expenses.

Host A Fundraiser
Show your support for the MPD K9 Unit through a fundraising event for your friends, family, and colleagues. We would be happy to support your effort where we can — and in general, endorse programming that promotes a positive image of Capital K9s and the use of police K9s.
Memorial Fund
Madison Police K9s dedicate their lives to service and sacrifice, making our neighborhoods safer and our future brighter.
To honor a brave and fallen guardian, you can earmark your donation for the Capital K9s Memorial Fund.
This fund honors K9s who have reached their End Of Watch. With your generous contribution, our local K9 heroes are given an honorable burial and final resting place identified with an engraved headstone at Westport Pet Memorial in Waunakee, WI.
We established an Endowment Fund with the Madison Community Foundation. This fund will help to ensure our work on behalf of the MPD K9 Unit is continually supported.
