Splashing Success!

Dog Paddle 2014

At this year’s event, dogs of all shapes, sizes and models enjoyed there time in the pool.  The dog in the photo above had a howling good time.  He met new friends and saw fellow swimmers from last year.  Behavior was simply superb!  If any dog had an image of being an alpha, it didn’t show.  After a frolic in the water, dogs were treated to a luxury bath – with soap and clean water.  This made the ride home very enjoyable.

Through the efforts of officers of the Madison Police  Department and scores of volunteers, Dog Paddle 2014 brought enjoyment to hundreds and hundreds of dogs.  Even the owners had a fun time.

This fund raising event proved to be  a splashing good time by financially supporting the Madison Police Department K9 Unit.  In addition to the cost of purchasing a dog, additional expenditures for squad cars and other equipment are significant.

If you were unable to attend this year’s event, make plans for 2015.  Mark your calendar for Sunday, September 6, 2015.  Hope to see you there!
